Before we begin, we must admit that Mazda has done a great job to hide from prying eyes the definitive style of the new Mazda 6 SW 2013. In fact, even though we had already seen spy shots of the new Japanese car, a prototype was still looked like the current generation, and while we wait the possible coupe 2014.
Currently, however, go further. According to the first end style images of the new Mazda 6 SW 2013, though covered with camouflage clear and thick, the photos were taken by colleagues from Car scoop, who even managed to capture up inside.
As we have been mentioning for months, the new Mazda 6 incorporates an aesthetic inspired concept car presented in Tokyo last year, with some differences in the shape of the headlights and front bumper, but the two cars are very similar.
Style Mazda 6 SW
the truth is that the new Mazda 6 SW, as we see in the first spy photos, it seems less extreme than the concept car from which it inspired, as is normal in a production model.
However, compared with the current generation, is far from being a bad car. The new series will not only be more aggressive on the front, but in the back, especially in the headlights, which have a strong and pronounced ways. The side is more attractive, the high waistline.
As we anticipated at the outset, these spy shots are very interesting because it allows us to finally see the interior of the new Mazda. Of course, the picture is somewhat blurred, but we can delight in the style of the dashboard, which is very similar to the recent Mazda CX 5.
The dashboard has a simple and rational, and is adorned with a central screen that incorporates multimedia system functions.
Motorization
As for the mechanics, the novelty is in several respects. First, in the new Mazda 6 SW has been introduced SKYACTIV technology to maximize vehicle efficiency and to minimize consumption and emissions. This also will make the savings by a reduction in weight of about 100 kg compared with the current Mazda 6, which directly affect their efficiency numbers.
Regarding the engines, will be launched only two versions: The new SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 165 hp and SKYACTIV-D 2.2 turbo diesel, with power between 150 and 175 hp. The changes will be a six-speed manual or an automatic SKYACTIV-MT SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed forever.
